shinme is one of my longest lived OCs who i've kept working on for years. they were born out of a childhood and adolescence steeped in anime, manga, dogmatic christian mythology, and the rampant urban fantasy YA novels that everyone seemed to be reading at the time.
i actually didn't read a lot of YA novels (i read, like, the same 3 books every year because i was scared to try new things) but i listened to my friends talk about YA novels and that was enough to inspire this character.
i'll post art of shinme throughout the years, but this is the best/most recent one so far.
